Description

WHAT IS IT?

Salengei Lupin Flour comes from the Lupinos albus, a legume related to broad beans. A toasting process makes the flour obtained from it become easily digested. Its light and neutral taste means it can be mixed with both sweet and savoury meals. It is noted for its hight content of organic vegetable protein and fibre, making it ideal for a regular bowel.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

Lupin flour is rich in protein (43%), and contains 28% fibre, most of which is insoluble (the most suitable for regulating the intestinal transit). It also contains fermentable oligosaccharides which enhance the laxative effect of the fibre. It is hight in vitamins B1, B6, B2, E and folic acid, and minerals such as phosphorus, zinc and magnesium. It is also a source of iron and calcium. Combined together, these micronutrients contribute to:

– Energy metabolism, reducing tiredness and fatigue

– Red blood cell production

– Functionality of cellular membranes

– Maintenance of bones, teeth, muscles, skin, mucous membranes and vision.

Consumption is beneficial for cell division process and for cell protection against oxidative stress, and the nervous, energetic and immune systems.

WHO IS IT RECOMMENDED FOR?

Salengei Lupin Flour for those who want to increase the amount of protein from their diet for any of the following reasons: because they want to control their weight, for sports people who want to reshape their bodies, for elderly people who have feeding or swallowing problems, to recover from a period of convalescence, in times of higher protein need such as pregnancy, menopause, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, and growth and development. Because of its high fibre content, it is recommended to treat constipation, and as it is low in salt, it is ideal for those who are watching their salt intake.
